110°C Operating Temperature
DESCRIPTION:
WEICO's SFL series is a medium-wall, semi-rigid tubing lined with a layer of special thermoplastic adhesive. When heated in excess of 121°C, SFL tubing shrinks and conforms to the unit to be covered, while the inner wall of adhesive melts and flows to provide a moisture and corrosion resistant seal. The adhesive forms a flexible bond with a wide variety of rubbers, plastics and metals. Upon cooling, the adhesive solidifies, forming a permanent, non-drying, flexible and waterproof barrier. The SFL multiple wall tubing is ideally suited for applications where moisture protection of wire splices or bundling of wires is required.
CHARACTERISTICS:
SFL Polyolefin tubing has a 4:1 shrink ratio. When freely recovered, the tubing will shrink to 25% of its supplied diameter. STL tubing is rated for continuous operation from -55°C to +110°C.
