Description:
WEICO's SPO series
is a flexible cross-linked polyolefin heat shrinkable tubing with
a two to one shrink ratio. When heated to 121°C or higher and allowed
to freely recover, the tubing will shrink to fifty percent of its
supplied diameter. SPO offers an outstanding balance or properties
- electrical, physical, and chemical - that make them the most popular
choice for a wide variety of commercial and military applications.
Rated for 135°C continuous operation and engineered for superior flame
resistant properties, these tubings are typically used as a shrink
fit electrical insulation over cable splices and terminations. They
are also excellent for light weight wire harness coverings, wire marking
and bundling, component packaging and fire-resistant coverings. Polyolefin
clear tubings provide excellent visibility for component packaging.
All polyolefin tubings are split-resistant, mechanically tough, easily
marked and they resist cold flow. |

| Characteristics:

| SPO
polyolefin tubing has a 2:1 shrink ratio. When freely recovered, the
tubing will shrink to 50% of its supplied diameter. SPO tubing meets
MIL-I-23053/5, class 1, 2, and 3. It is UL Recognized and CSA certified
to 600 volts @ 125°C. Class 3 material is also UL VW-1 and CSA OFT.
SPO tubing is rated for continuous operation from -55°C to +135°C
and can withstand elevated temperatures to 300°C. |
